About the Role :

We are looking for a Staff Engineer (Blockchain & DeFi) who will act as a technical lead for the Blockchain & DeFi engineering team.

You will be responsible for driving technical design, architecture and delivery of production-grade Blockchain and DeFi systems while remaining hands-on with coding and development.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the technical design and development of Blockchain, Web3 and DeFi products.

- Own architecture and technical decisions for Smart Contracts, backend services, wallets and on-chain/off-chain integrations.

- Develop and review production-grade Solidity/EVM smart contracts.

- Guide engineers through code reviews, technical design and engineering best practices.

- Build scalable backend services and APIs using technologies such as Node.js/TypeScript, Go, Rust, Java/Kotlin or Python.

- Design and oversee wallet and transaction infrastructure including transaction signing, nonce/gas management, chain indexing and reconciliation.

- Lead integrations with DeFi protocols, oracles and bridges.

- Ensure high standards of code quality, security, testing, scalability, reliability and performance.

- Work closely with Security, Product, Risk and Compliance teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause analysis and resolution.

- Mentor engineers and help build strong technical capabilities within the team.

- Drive technical execution and delivery across projects while balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability.

Must Have :

- 7+ years of software engineering experience.

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Blockchain / Web3 / DeFi development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Solidity and EVM Smart Contracts.

- Experience building and deploying production Blockchain/Web3 applications.

- Strong backend development experience in one or more of TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Rust, Java/Kotlin or Python.

- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable backend architecture.

- Experience with wallet infrastructure, transaction signing and blockchain/chain indexing.

- Good understanding of DeFi protocols such as AMMs, lending, staking, stablecoins and oracles.

- Experience with Foundry/Hardhat, CI/CD and cloud platforms such as AWS/Azure.

- Strong experience in system design, code reviews and technical leadership.

- Ability to remain hands-on while leading a team technically.
