Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Java Software Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable enterprise-level applications.

This role involves technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Job Responsibilities :

- Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex Java-based applications, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

- Perform code reviews, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.

- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment and post-production support.

- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for development processes, tools, and technologies.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and development environments.

- Contribute to the strategic technical roadmap and technology selection process.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application within SS&C Fintech Svc India.

Job Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in Java software development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level applications.

- Proven experience in a technical leadership role, guiding and mentoring development teams.

- Expertise in Java 8+ and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate).

- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles, data structures, and algorithms.

- Extensive experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development methodologies.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Experience in the financial services or fintech industry is highly desirable.
