Role Overview :

As a Senior SQL DBA, you will serve as the primary custodian of our database ecosystem, ensuring the integrity, performance, and security of our SQL Server environments. You will work closely with application developers, infrastructure engineers, and project stakeholders to architect database solutions that support high-traffic platforms. Your daily contributions will directly impact business continuity and data reliability, ensuring that our systems remain resilient and optimized for complex analytical and transactional workloads.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and maintain high-availability SQL Server clusters to ensure 99.9% uptime for enterprise-level applications.

- Optimize complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures to enhance application performance and reduce latency for end-users.

- Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard organizational data assets against potential failures.

- Monitor database health and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks to maintain seamless system operations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design database schemas that align with evolving business requirements and scalability goals.

- Enforce security best practices, including access control and encryption, to ensure compliance with data protection standards.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting large-scale SQL Server environments with 7 to 10 years of professional experience.

- Advanced proficiency in performance tuning, index optimization, and execution plan analysis to drive system efficiency.

- Strong command over SQL Server Always On, replication, and clustering technologies to support mission-critical infrastructure.

- Ability to communicate technical database concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively within a hybrid work environment in Hyderabad or Bangalore.

- Proven track record of automating routine DBA tasks using PowerShell or T-SQL scripts to improve operational productivity.

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by a proactive approach to learning new database technologies and industry trends.
