Position Overview :

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our growing tech team. In this role you will design, build, and scale web applications that power our platforms for academies, coaches, etc. You will be working on back-end APIs and cloud infrastructure along with some front-end interfaces to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable products. We want someone who is passionate about sports, technology, and solving complex problems with clean and efficient code.

Role & Responsibilities :

Full Stack Development :

- Design and develop scalable applications using Next.js, Node.js, Python, and / or Golang.

Cloud Infrastructure :

- Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications on AWS using best practices for reliability and scalability.

Collaboration :

- Work closely with product managers, ML engineers, designers, and other engineers to deliver features end-to-end.

Continuous Improvement :

- Optimize performance, enhance security, and ensure code quality with testing and reviews.

Ownership :

- Take full responsibility for feature delivery in a fast-paced start-up environment.

Basic Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 2-4 years of professional experience as a full stack developer

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Next.js

- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Golang or Python)

- Experience with AWS services (ECS, S3, RDS, etc.)

- Strong problem-solving skills, debugging ability, and a growth mindset

- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker)

- Effective use of AI tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT etc.) to accelerate development and research workflows.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Strong academic background from IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS Pilani, or other top-tier institutions

- Experience working in a high-scale consumer tech company

- Knowledge of microservices architecture and serverless systems

- Strong understanding of system design and database optimization
