About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Azure networking, virtualization technologies, firewalls, and Microsoft infrastructure services. This role requires a hands-on professional who can ensure network availability, optimize performance, strengthen security, and support business-critical infrastructure in a dynamic enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Network Design & Implementation :

- Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.

- Configure and maintain network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.

- Design and implement networking solutions on Microsoft Azure, including :

1. Virtual Networks (VNets)

2. Network Security Groups (NSGs)

3. Load Balancers

4. VPN Gateways

5. Azure Firewall

6. Hybrid connectivity solutions

2. Infrastructure Management :

- Manage and support virtualized environments using VMware ESXi.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of network services.

- Perform capacity planning, network optimization, and proactive maintenance activities.

- Monitor infrastructure health and performance metrics and recommend improvements.

3. Security & Compliance :

- Implement and maintain secure network architectures and security best practices.

- Configure and manage firewalls, including Cisco ASA or equivalent technologies.

- Collaborate with security teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.

- Ensure secure remote connectivity, access control, and network segmentation.

4. Microsoft Infrastructure Services :

- Administer and support Microsoft technologies, including :

1. Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)

2. DNS

3. DHCP

4. Group Policies

5. Identity and access management services

- Troubleshoot authentication, connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues.

5. Incident Management & Troubleshooting :

- Diagnose and resolve network, security, and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.

- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.

- Provide support for production issues and participate in infrastructure upgrades and maintenance activities.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Work closely with Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Application teams to deliver reliable and secure solutions.

- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives.

- Support project implementations, migrations, and technology transformation initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

1. Networking :

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Routing and Switching, VPN technologies, secure connectivity, network monitoring, performance optimization, and High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) concepts.

2. Microsoft Azure :

- Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Azure Load Balancer, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, Network Security Groups (NSGs), hybrid cloud networking solutions, and Azure networking security and connectivity services.

3. Virtualization :

- Experience managing VMware ESXi environments and understanding of virtual networking concepts and infrastructure administration.

4. Security :

- Experience configuring and managing firewalls, preferably Cisco ASA or similar enterprise firewall technologies, and knowledge of network security principles, access controls, and vulnerability remediation.

5. Microsoft Technologies :

- Strong experience with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS and DHCP administration, Group Policies, and identity and access management concepts.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 5-10 years of experience as a Network Engineer in the IT Services & Consulting industry.

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex infrastructure issues.

- Experience supporting enterprise-scale network environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications will be an added advantage : Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Microsoft Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
