About the Opportunity :
We are looking for an experienced Level 2 NOC Engineer to take ownership of complex troubleshooting and resolution activities across network and infrastructure systems.
This is a hands-on, escalation-level role focused on diagnosing and resolving critical incidents not routine monitoring or first-level support.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced analytical and technical troubleshooting skills in networking, servers, and enterprise Wi-Fi ecosystems, along with in-depth experience working on MikroTik, Cambium, and Ruckus devices.
You will work collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams and vendors to ensure stability, reliability, and root-cause resolution of persistent or high-impact issues.
What Youll Do :
- Act as the primary escalation point for Level 1 support, handling complex network and system incidents requiring deep troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve issues across routers, switches, firewalls, and server platforms.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
- Troubleshoot and fine-tune configurations for MikroTik, Cambium, and Ruckus networks.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal engineering teams to identify firmware or configuration-level defects.
- Support network performance optimization by analyzing logs, metrics, and trend data. Use diagnostic tools for packet analysis, connectivity validation, and protocol-level troubleshooting.
- Document incidents, solutions, and procedures to improve knowledge sharing and future response times. Participate in problem review meetings and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
- Ensure adherence to established escalation and change management processes.
What You Bring :
- 3 to 6 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC) or Network Support Engineering roles. Strong hands-on experience with network device troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
- Proven expertise in MikroTik configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting (mandatory).
- Working knowledge of Cambium and Ruckus access point technologies.
- Proficiency in using network diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or similar platforms.
- Sound understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, NAT, and firewall policies.
- Familiarity with server-level troubleshooting (Windows/Linux environments).
- Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to coordinate with vendors and non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, MTCNA/MTCRE (MikroTik), or equivalent are highly preferred.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience working in 24x7 global NOC environments (even though this role follows standard hours).
- Knowledge of network monitoring systems, SNMP configurations, and performance alerts.
- Familiarity with incident management frameworks (ITIL) and documentation best practices.
- Exposure to cloud-managed networking solutions and remote infrastructure management tools.
