Sony - Senior Technical Specialist - Java

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Specialist with a strong background in building and maintaining high-volume, scalable systems.

The ideal candidate will have 12 to 18 years of experience and demonstrate technical leadership, deep expertise in Java-based microservices, and a proactive, self-driven approach to development and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, implement, and integrate scalable backend solutions using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

- Work with AWS services like DynamoDB, SQS, Lambda, and EKS to build cloud-native applications.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peer tech teams.

- Support and enhance live production systems with a focus on reliability and performance.

- Perform code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and maintain high code quality and engineering best practices.

- Identify and drive technical and functional improvements in existing services.

- Exhibit strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Take ownership with minimal supervision and contribute to team success.

Desirable Skills :

- Deep knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Data Structures.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, caching technologies, and Payment domain knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications :

- B.Tech in any discipline or equivalent.

- Strong communication and leadership skills.

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
