Solution Architect

Job Purpose :

The Solutions Architect contributes to the organizational goals through managed ownership and development and/or design of solution architecture frameworks and roadmaps. The role enhances operational productivity through governance, standards, guidance, and training while ensuring the delivery of responsive and cost-effective solutions that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Responsible for complete solution design, analysis, and implementation roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders.

- Conduct continuous risk and impact assessments on current and proposed technologies.

- Work closely with business and internal stakeholders to identify technology solutions that improve business and operational requirements.

- Maintain architecture governance and documentation.

- Ensure effective handover of solution designs to project delivery and support teams.

- Research and recommend emerging technologies and design patterns.

- Provide expert guidance during change planning and implementation activities.

- Drive short and long-term architecture strategies and technology roadmaps.

- Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to define technology direction.

- Collaborate with infrastructure, development, project management, and IT leadership teams.

- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory and customer-centric principles.

- Lead impact assessments for change requests and new projects.

- Validate deployed infrastructure against original architectural designs.

- Support enterprise projects by identifying process improvements and assisting with business case development.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements :

Essential Experience :

- 10+ years of experience managing enterprise IT solutions in production environments.

- Experience with on-premise and cloud-hosted enterprise applications.

- Ability to create and review architecture design documents.

- Strong understanding of technology trends and architecture best practices.

- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.

- Minimum 3 years of experience leading projects and delivering enterprise-level solutions.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience within the Financial Services or Insurance industry.

Knowledge Requirements :

- ITIL processes including Incident, Change, Capacity, Demand, and Business Continuity Management.
