Software Engineer/Specialist - Sybase Development

Description :

Required Skills :

- 4+ years of hands-on experience in database development using Sybase ASE/IQ.

- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Experience working closely with application teams on integrated backend solutions.

- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, data modelling, indexing, transactions, and concurrency.

- Proven experience with production issue investigation and resolution.

- Agile development methodologies

Good to have :

- Experience with Sybase DBA activities.

- Exposure to Java backend development (Spring, REST APIs, JDBC, ORM frameworks).

- Experience in Unix/Linux environments for scripting and DB automation.

Personal Skills :

- Proven Ability to learn and work on latest technology, have good analytical skills and pickup faster.

- Should have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be a team player.

- Should have been engaged on one project for at least 10 months.

- Experience working in an onsite-offshore model would be an advantage
