Software Engineer - NestJS/Express.js

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Server-Side Development : Develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and testable server-side applications and logic using Node.js and related frameworks like Express.js.

- API Design & Implementation : Design and implement robust RESTful APIs and web services for internal and external use.

- Database Management : Define, integrate, and maintain central databases (both SQL and NoSQL, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).

- Integration : Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic and third-party web services.

- Performance Optimization : Ensure optimal performance, quality, and scalability of the application, including implementing low-latency and high-availability solutions.

- Security & Data Protection : Implement effective security protocols and data protection measures.

- Testing & Debugging : Write comprehensive test suites (unit and integration tests), run diagnostic tests, and troubleshoot bugs and defects.

- Documentation & Best Practices : Document Node.js processes and code, and adhere to industry standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Education : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is typically required.

- Programming Languages : Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a deep understanding of the Node.js runtime environment.

Technical Skills :

- Experience with server-side frameworks (e.g., Express.js, Nest.js).

- Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, React, Angular, or Vue.js to ensure seamless integration.

- Understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and non-blocking I/O.

- Experience with code versioning tools like Git.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker can be a plus.
