Software Engineer - Java Technologies

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in the Newgen Business Process Management (iBPS) platform to design, develop, and optimize BPM solutions. The role requires hands-on development, system integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure process automation solutions.


Key Responsibilities :


- BPM Development : Design, develop, and implement business process automation solutions using Newgen iBPS.

- Solution Design : Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, maintainable solutions.

- Technical Implementation : Work with Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, and SQL (Oracle/MSSQL) to build and enhance system functionality.

- API Development & Integration : Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs, WSDLs, and Swagger-based APIs for seamless integration with external systems.

- Code Quality & Testing : Participate in coding, peer reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and UAT to ensure robust and high-quality deliverables.

- Performance Optimization : Perform log analysis, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database queries for system performance.

- POC & Innovation : Conduct POCs for new features, frameworks, and tools to ensure adoption of best-fit technologies.

- Compliance & Quality : Adhere to Newgens quality processes, maintain confidentiality, and ensure best practices in software development.


Qualifications & Experience :


- Education : B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science / IT (minimum 60% aggregate).


- Experience : 38 years of hands-on experience in Newgen iBPS development and BPM

projects.




Technical Skills :


- Strong expertise in Newgen iBPS and BPMN standards.


- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, SQL (Oracle/MSSQL).

- Experience in REST/SOAP APIs, Swagger, WSDLs, and system integrations.

- Familiarity with Git, SVN, Azure DevOps (TFS) for version control and CI/CD.

- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and multi-tier architecture.




Preferred Skills :


- Experience in enterprise-scale BPM implementations.


- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, Agile teams.

- Up-to-date with emerging BPM tools, trends, and frameworks.
