Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer / Scala Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and microservices.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java and Scala, along with experience in microservices, Vertica Database, Spark, and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Scala.

- Develop and enhance microservices-based applications following industry best practices.

- Work with Vertica Database for data storage, querying, and application integration.

- Leverage Akka and related technologies for building scalable and distributed applications.

- Work with Apache Spark and ETL processes for data processing and transformation.

- Analyze and troubleshoot customer issues, including production incidents and application defects.

- Perform root-cause analysis and implement effective fixes to improve application stability and performance.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support activities.

- Communicate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5+ years of software development experience.

- Strong hands-on programming experience in Java and Scala.

- Proven experience developing microservices-based applications.

- Hands-on experience with Vertica Database.

- Basic knowledge of Akka and Move Services.

- Basic experience with Apache Spark and ETL processes.

- Experience in production support, troubleshooting, and customer issue analysis.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
