Software Engineer - Distributed Systems

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior/Staff Software Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team.

The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, capable of driving complex projects from conception to deployment, mentoring junior engineers, and significantly contributing to the architectural evolution of our systems.

Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Design :

- Drive technical vision and strategy for your domain, ensuring alignment with overall product and engineering goals.

- Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Software Development & Delivery :

- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code primarily in , e.g., Python, Java, Go, C++ and related technologies.

- Architect and optimize systems for scalability, reliability, and security.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across various system components.

Mentorship & Collaboration :

- Mentor and coach mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Designers, and other engineering teams to define specifications and deliver features on time.

- Present technical concepts, designs, and decisions to a diverse audience, including executive stakeholders.

Process & Improvement :

- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and practices to improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

- Contribute to defining and refining engineering standards, processes, and documentation.

- Lead capacity planning and performance tuning efforts for critical services.

Qualifications :

Required :

- Experience : 7-10 years of professional experience in software development, with a significant track record in developing and deploying large-scale production systems.

- Programming Mastery : Expert proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C++, or similar).

Architecture & Systems :

- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and relevant design patterns.

- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficiency with various database technologies, including both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

Engineering Practices :

- Solid understanding of the entire SDLC, including CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Demonstrable expertise in performance optimization, scalability testing, and monitoring tools.

Soft Skills :

- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.
