About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) for our project in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java-based test automation, microservices testing, and hands-on experience with UI and performance testing tools.

You will collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to design and implement scalable automation solutions across CI/CD pipelines in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Java-based applications and SpringBoot microservices.

- Perform unit, functional, and integration testing to ensure high-quality releases.

- Implement and manage UI test automation using Cypress framework.

- Conduct performance testing using BlazeMeter or similar tools.

- Design clear and efficient test plans, test cases, and automation strategies.

- Apply best practices for BDD and TDD frameworks (Cucumber, Spock, Groovy).

- Collaborate with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and Chef.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.

- Participate in reviews, provide feedback, and ensure test coverage and quality metrics are met.

- Demonstrate ownership, initiative, and problem-solving mindset in delivering automation solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6- 10 years of total experience with at least 8+ years of relevant experience in SDET or automation testing.

- Strong programming skills in Java and SpringBoot.

- Hands-on experience with Cypress for UI automation.

- Experience in performance testing using BlazeMeter.

- Proficiency in BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber, Spock, or Groovy.

- Good understanding of CI/CD tools (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, Chef).

- Exposure to cloud environments (preferably PCF or Azure).

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern testing practices.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have :

- Experience with API testing and integration automation.

- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.
