Software Development Engineer - Java Technologies

Responsibilities :

- Quickly prototype and develop scalable, reliable backend platforms.

- Build reusable components, services, and utilities.

- Own and lead end-to-end development of assigned services.

- Collaborate with engineering, product, and strategy teams.

- Maintain code quality, standards, and best practices.

- Mentor and guide team members through problem-solving and reviews.

- Participate in daily stand-ups and team discussions.

- Manage tasks via JIRA and drive timely delivery.

- Contribute to the tech roadmap and backlog grooming.

- Support production releases and troubleshoot issues.

- Explore and implement emerging technologies.

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience building complex, scalable backend systems.

- Strong in Java, object-oriented design, and applying design patterns.

- Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

- Hands-on with REST APIs, microservices, and web application design.

- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and performance optimization.

- Skilled in data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Solid experience with deployments, server tuning (Apache, Tomcat), and CI/CD.

- Proficient with Git, branching/merging, and version control workflows.

- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

- Familiar with 24x7 production environments and production issue resolution.

- Passionate, ownership-driven, and adaptable to fast-changing environments.
