Software Development Engineer IV

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled SDE - 4 Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems that power critical business workflows. This role requires strong ownership, deep system design expertise, and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems.

- Lead system design and architecture discussions for complex and high-impact business problems.

- Own end-to-end delivery of backend features including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

- Optimize systems for performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

- Drive best practices in coding standards, code reviews, documentation, and system observability.

- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a strong engineering culture.

- Collaborate closely with Product, DevOps, QA, and other cross-functional teams.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and uptime.

- Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap and continuous platform improvements.

Required Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language: Java, Python, Go, or Node.js.

- Extensive experience building RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.

- Strong foundations in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming.

- Experience with system design for scalable, distributed applications.

- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment best practices.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production support.

- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
