We are looking for a highly experienced SDE-3 (Backend) to join our engineering team. This is a senior-level role for an engineer who can design and build robust backend systems, influence architectural decisions, collaborate with leadership, and help shape the technical roadmap. You will work on mission-critical systems that power our core products and drive meaningful impact across the organization.

As an SDE-3, you are expected to take ownership, lead by example, and deliver high-quality solutions that balance technical excellence with business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, reliable backend services and APIs powering web and mobile applications.

- Drive large features or initiatives from concept to production while influencing the teams engineering best practices.

- Architect highly available, distributed systems with robust data models, storage strategies, and performance optimizations.

- Work closely with Product, Design, Mobile, Data, and other engineering teams to clarify requirements, make trade-offs, and define long-term technical strategies.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.

- Provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior engineers; participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions.

- Improve system reliability, monitoring, debugging, and alerting practices; work with DevOps/SRE teams to ensure stable production systems.

- Help shape the backend platform roadmap by identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and evaluating new technologies.

- Proactively identify system bottlenecks, technical debt, and business risks; propose scalable solutions before issues arise.

- Work effectively with a globally distributed team, adapting to asynchronous communication and contributing to a remote-first culture.

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of industry experience in backend software development with a proven track record of designing and shipping production-quality systems.

- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals : algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, concurrency, networking, and operating systems.

- Expertise in backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, Go, Python, or similar.

- Experience building and scaling distributed systems, microservices architectures, and event-driven platforms.

- Strong knowledge of databasesboth relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).

- Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native services (containers, serverless, orchestration).

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern DevOps practices.

- Ability to deliver high-quality features quickly while balancing trade-offs between speed and technical rigor.
