Software Development Engineer II - Python

Responsibilities :

- Design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems using Python

- Develop and maintain robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs

- Work on system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization

- Design and manage data storage solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases

- Collaborate with product managers, AI engineers, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end backend features

- Implement secure, efficient, and maintainable backend services

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues using monitoring and logging tools

- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code

- Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical decision-making

Requirements :

- 2 to 5 years of experience in backend or software development

- Strong proficiency in at least one backend language : Python

- Hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs

- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL systems like MongoDB or Redis

- Good understanding of client-server architecture, distributed systems, and backend system design

- Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and security best practices

- Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership-driven mindset

- Clear communication and collaboration skills

Good to Have :

- Experience working in fast-paced or high-growth startup environments

- Exposure to test-driven development (TDD) and agile practices

- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as PyTest, Jest, or similar

- Understanding of caching, performance tuning, and scalability concepts
