Software Development Engineer II - Java/J2EE

Key Responsibilities :

- Full-stack application development involving both frontend and backend systems.

- Design and develop modular, reusable components and APIs aligned with business requirements.

- Build intuitive, responsive, and accessible user interfaces using modern frontend technologies.

- Develop a robust and scalable application tier and backend architecture using modern frameworks.

- Manage the entire software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.

- Guide and collaborate with team members on development, build, and deployment best practices.

- Follow software design best practices and contribute to clean, maintainable codebases.

- Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and scalability.

- Conduct code reviews, perform unit testing, debugging, and resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline from a Tier 1 engineering institute.

- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing Java/J2EE/Spring-based applications.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.

- Deep knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Frameworks.

- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and Microservices architectures.

- Solid grasp of application and system architecture concepts for high-scale systems.

- Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, jQuery, HTML5/CSS3, Bootstrap.

- Proficiency in version control systems such as Git or Bitbucket.

- Hands-on experience with build and deployment tools like Maven, Jenkins, and issue tracking tools like JIRA.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Exposure to Big Data technologies and distributed processing concepts.

- Working knowledge of AWS cloud platform and associated services.

- Passionate about clean code, continuous learning, and solving complex problems.

- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills.

- Ability to lead by example in code quality, feature ownership, and knowledge sharing.
