Job Description

Role Overview:

The Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) Architect serves as a technical bridge between complex automotive hardware and scalable software ecosystems. In this role, you will design robust, modular, and secure architectures that enable over-the-air updates, vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, and advanced driver-assistance features. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and external stakeholders to translate high-level business requirements into technical specifications. Your work directly influences the end-user experience by ensuring vehicle systems remain performant, upgradeable, and reliable throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and document end-to-end software architectures for SDV platforms to ensure seamless integration between vehicle domains and cloud services.

- Define technical standards for AUTOSAR-based systems to maintain consistency and interoperability across complex automotive software stacks.

- Evaluate and select middleware, communication protocols, and virtualization technologies to optimize resource utilization in high-performance computing units.

- Lead technical design reviews with engineering teams to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure compliance with safety and security standards like ISO 26262 and ISO 21434.

- Mentor junior developers and architects on best practices for software modularity, hardware abstraction, and system scalability.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to align software development roadmaps with evolving automotive industry trends and customer expectations.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in designing complex automotive software architectures, specifically utilizing AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive platforms.

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems, with a deep understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and POSIX standards.

- Proven ability to architect connected vehicle solutions, including experience with vehicle-to-cloud communication protocols and data security frameworks.

Experience Requirements:

- 12 - 18 years of experience in automotive software engineering.

- Strong experience in automotive embedded systems and software architecture.

- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR and vehicle communication protocols.

- Experience in SDV, connected vehicle platforms or automotive E/E architecture.

- Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers or automotive GCCs.

- Experience leading global engineering and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Candidate Background:
