Job Summary :

We are looking for a highly experienced Software Development Engineer III with strong expertise in Java EE and PHP to join our engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-scale web applications in a Linux-based environment, working closely with cross-functional global teams. This role requires strong backend development skills, system troubleshooting abilities, and a proactive, customer-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Java EE and PHP.

- Work extensively with RDBMS databases such as PostgreSQL (preferred), MySQL, or Oracle, including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Deploy, configure, and manage applications on Linux-based servers.

- Manage and support web servers and application servers such as Apache and Tomcat.

- Develop and consume RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.

- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth application delivery and deployment.

- Use version control systems like Git and SVN to manage source code and collaborate with distributed teams.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.

- Participate actively in Scrum/Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers when required.

- Work in a customer-facing support environment, ensuring high-quality service delivery and proactive issue resolution.

- Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Technical Skills :

- Java EE / J2EE strong hands-on development experience.

- PHP solid experience in backend development.

- RDBMS strong understanding of relational databases; PostgreSQL preferred.

- Linux/Unix good hands-on experience with server environments.

- Web/Application Servers Apache, Tomcat.

- Version Control Systems Git, SVN.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have / Additional Skills :

- Experience with Node.js and React.js.

- Exposure to AWS cloud services.

- Experience with Apache Load Balancer, SSL, LDAP, and SMTP configurations.

- Knowledge of application security and performance optimization.

- Experience working in a global delivery model.
