Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automation Test Engineer with a strong background in test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver, BDD with Cucumber, and REST API automation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automation test scripts, maintaining test frameworks, and ensuring the quality of complex software systems through effective test coverage and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automation test frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, and BDD Cucumber.

- Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and system testing of web applications and APIs.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to understand product requirements and ensure test coverage.

- Automate RESTful API test cases using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

- Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test data.

- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed in automation scripting.

- Analyze test results, identify bugs, and provide detailed reports to the development team.

- Continuously enhance automation frameworks for better efficiency and maintainability.

- Support manual testing efforts when needed and help in the transition to automation.

- Contribute to overall QA process improvements and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5 to 8 years of experience in automation testing, including web and API testing.

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and BDD Cucumber.

- Proficiency in Java or a similar object-oriented programming language.

- Solid understanding of REST API testing and automation using tools such as Rest Assured or similar.

- Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

- Familiarity with testing tools such as TestNG, Maven, Postman, JIRA, Allure, or similar.

- Good knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience with cross-browser testing and responsive web testing.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
