Snowflake Developer

About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Snowflake Developer to join our team for a 6-month contract with the potential for extension. This is a fully remote offshore position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions on the Snowflake platform.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and Implementation : Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and other related technologies.

- Data Modeling and ETL : Create and manage Snowflake objects, including databases, schemas, tables, and views. Develop, test, and deploy ETL/ELT processes to ingest and transform data from various sources into Snowflake.

- SQL Development : Write complex and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.

- Performance Tuning : Monitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake data warehouses, ensuring efficient query execution and cost management.

- Collaboration : Work closely with data architects, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.

- Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, Snowflake objects, and ETL processes.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Snowflake Expertise : A minimum of 5- 8 years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake Developer is required. We will not consider candidates with less than 5 years of dedicated Snowflake experience.

- Data Pipelining : Proven experience in designing and building end-to-end data pipelines.

- ETL Tools : Strong experience with various ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, DBT, Fivetran, Matillion) and an understanding of data integration concepts.

- SQL Mastery : Expert-level proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

- Cloud Experience : Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data-related services is a plus.

- Certifications : Any Snowflake certifications (e.g., SnowPro Core, SnowPro Advanced) are highly desirable.
