Snowflake Developer - Data Warehousing

Shift : 1 PM to 10 PM

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and support scalable Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions.

- Translate high-level design (HLD) and application interface requirements into low-level design (LLD) and technical specifications.

- Develop, test, and deploy data ingestion pipelines and transformation processes.

- Analyze application issues and propose effective technical solutions.

- Provide Tier 2 production support, including participation in on-call rotations.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all development and support activities.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, architects, and business stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong SQL skills for complex queries, data analysis, and performance tuning.

- In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, storage, and optimization techniques.

- 4+ years of hands-on experience with:

1. SnowSQL, COPY command, stored procedures

2. Snowpipe, semi-structured data ingestion, and different table types

3. Performance tuning in Snowflake environments

- Experience with file transfer protocols: NDM, SFTP, Data Router, etc.

- Familiarity with job schedulers like IBM TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler)

- Exposure to Python scripting (Good to have)

- Experience with AVRO, PARQUET, and other semi-structured file formats (Good to have)

- Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica (Good to have)
