Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Snowflake Administrator to join our high-performing data engineering team in Bangalore. In this role, you will serve as the primary custodian of our cloud-based data ecosystem, ensuring the seamless operation, scalability, and security of our Snowflake environment. You will collaborate closely with data architects, software engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into robust, high-performance database solutions. By optimizing query performance and maintaining rigorous data governance standards, you will directly impact the speed and reliability of our enterprise decision-making processes, ultimately driving data-backed business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and manage end-to-end Snowflake environments to ensure high availability and optimal performance for global business units.

- Implement advanced data security protocols, including role-based access control and data masking, to protect sensitive corporate assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

- Monitor and optimize resource consumption and warehouse sizing to maximize cost-efficiency without compromising system throughput.

- Automate routine administrative tasks and database maintenance workflows using Java-based scripts to reduce manual overhead and improve operational consistency.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex SQL performance bottlenecks and provide expert guidance on schema design and data modeling best practices.

- Oversee disaster recovery planning and data replication strategies to guarantee business continuity across cloud regions.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale Snowflake data warehouses, with a deep understanding of cloud computing architecture and database administration principles.

- Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries to support high-concurrency data environments.

- Proven ability to integrate Snowflake with external applications using Java, demonstrating a strong grasp of API-driven data interactions.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical constraints and solutions to non-technical stakeholders and leadership teams.
