About the Role :

As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for building and integrating Shopify applications and backend solutions that enable seamless merchant and customer experiences. You will work extensively with Shopify APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, app extensions, and third-party integrations, while contributing to scalable and reliable backend implementations.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with Shopify's application ecosystem and the ability to work across APIs, integrations, and backend services.

What You'll Do :

- Build and maintain custom Shopify applications to support business and merchant requirements.

- Develop and integrate solutions using Shopify Admin APIs, Storefront APIs, and GraphQL.

- Implement and manage Shopify webhooks for real-time event-driven workflows.

- Develop and integrate Shopify App Extensions and other Shopify platform capabilities.

- Build robust integrations between Shopify and internal/third-party systems, services, and APIs.

- Design and implement backend services that support Shopify applications and integrations.

- Work with Shopify authentication, app installation flows, access scopes, and API permissions.

- Handle data synchronization between Shopify and external systems while ensuring reliability and consistency.

- Debug API, integration, and application-level issues and implement appropriate solutions.

- Optimize API usage, application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver Shopify-based solutions.

Requirements :

- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Shopify development, with strong exposure to Shopify Apps and integrations.

- Strong experience working with Shopify Admin APIs, Storefront APIs, and GraphQL.

- Hands-on experience building or working with custom Shopify applications.

- Strong understanding of Shopify webhooks, app extensions, authentication, permissions, and API integrations.

- Strong backend development experience with Node.js / JavaScript or a similar backend technology.

- Experience integrating Shopify with third-party APIs, services, and internal systems.

- Good understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, asynchronous workflows, and event-driven integrations.

- Understanding of Shopify's app ecosystem, API limitations, rate limits, and platform best practices.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
