Job Title : Senior Node.js Engineer

Location : Remote

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Data Integration Engineer with 10+ years of development experience and strong expertise in designing and building scalable data integrations and APIs. This role requires hands-on Node.js development, experience with microservices, cloud integrations, and modern messaging technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, collaborates effectively, and delivers high?quality, reusable, and reliable integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain APIs, connectors, and data flows to integrate diverse systems and applications.

- Build scalable, reusable, and high?performance data integration solutions using Node.js.

- Connect to on?premise and cloud-based systems, leveraging REST and SOAP APIs.

- Optimize integration workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in coding and architecture.

- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.

- Document integration designs and solutions from concept to deployment.

- Stay current with technology trends, platform capabilities, and integration best practices.

- Manage development timelines while clearly communicating complexities, blockers, or design considerations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Required Qualifications :

- 10+ years of software development experience.

- 3+ years of hands-on Node.js development (Java or Python experience may be considered with strong API expertise).

- 4+ years building microservices and service?oriented APIs.

- 2+ years of cloud integration and serverless architecture experience.

- 4+ years working with RDBMS (preferably MySQL) and ORM frameworks.

- 3+ years with messaging technologies (Kafka, MQ, SQS, Confluent, etc.).

- Strong SQL skills with experience writing advanced queries.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies.

- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.

- Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.

- Strong communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to discuss the full API development lifecycle and its role in full-stack development.

- Team-oriented, self-driven, and able to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

- Domain experience in transportation or logistics is a plus.
