Simplotel is a Shopify for Hotels, was founded in October 2013 and is funded by Go-MMT - Indias largest Online Travel Agency.

Position Overview :

The CTO/ VP of Engineering will be responsible for leading the technology and engineering agenda of Simplotel.

This position requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation, manage complex engineering projects, and lead a team of engineers to deliver world-class products and solutions.

The role involves close collaboration with other departments to ensure that the technology infrastructure supports the companys overall goals.

Responsibilities :

- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Serve as the technical expert, designing and architecting scalable solutions while leveraging modern technologies to enhance productivity, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

- Ensure optimal performance and high availability of our SaaS software, with effective management of live site operations.

- Implement and enforce engineering processes, including design reviews, code reviews, and the Software Development Life Cycle.

- Oversee software development projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery while identifying and mitigating risks.

- Own and optimize infrastructure costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.

- Manage operational requests from other teams, addressing their productivity needs and ensuring alignment with internal requirements.

- Present technology vision and architectural strategies to customers, investors, and both internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience in driving Product Management is a desirable plus.

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership roles

- Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture

- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

- Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable engineering plans
