We are currently hiring for a Cloud / Virtualization Engineer role and are looking for professionals with strong hands-on experience in virtualization infrastructure, open-source hypervisors, cloud infrastructure, automation, and infrastructure architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect scalable and secure virtualization solutions using open-source hypervisors.

- Design and implement High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and resource-efficient infrastructure solutions.

- Evaluate and integrate suitable orchestration and virtualization management platforms.

- Lead deployment of virtualized compute, storage, and network stacks.

- Standardize and automate infrastructure configuration using Ansible, Terraform, or custom scripts.

- Maintain golden images and VM templates for rapid provisioning.

- Benchmark virtualization hosts and perform hypervisor performance tuning.

- Analyze workloads and optimize VM placement, NUMA affinity, and overcommitment strategies.

- Perform capacity planning and forecasting based on business and infrastructure growth requirements.

- Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks, system crashes, and resource contention.

- Lead RCA for major virtualization infrastructure incidents.

- Harden hypervisors and implement tenant isolation using security frameworks such as SELinux and AppArmor.

- Ensure secure VM images, patching, vulnerability remediation, audit trails, and compliance requirements.

- Integrate virtualization management with DevOps pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

- Automate VM lifecycle operations including provisioning, snapshots, migration, and decommissioning through APIs/CLI tools.

- Work closely with Development and Platform teams on infrastructure automation and IaC.

- Provide architecture enhancement recommendations considering performance, scalability, security, and TCO.

- Validate infrastructure upgrade requirements and determine the need for new architecture/devices based on performance and capacity requirements.

- Participate in partner meetings, technology workshops, POCs, and architecture evaluations.

- Develop test cases/use cases for POCs and prepare technical evaluation reports.

- Provide expert-level support to Operations and Delivery teams for technical issues and escalations.
