Position : Tech Lead Backend (Mumbai)

Responsibilities :


- Lead backend architecture, design, and development on modern distributed systems.

- Mentor and guide a backend engineering team, ensuring high quality and best practices in coding, reviews, and deployment.

- Drive and participate in technical discussions for scalable, cloud-native solutions.

- Oversee system design for performance, reliability, and maintainability using Java/Kotlin/Node.js (or relevant stack), RESTful APIs, and microservices.

- Own, implement, and optimize backend services and database stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

- Ensure efficient CI/CD, containerization, and deployment strategies (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins or similar).

- Take charge of code reviews, release management, and monitoring/alerting in production.

- Foster professional growth for the engineering team through regular feedback and learning opportunities.

Requirements :


- 5-9 years hands-on experience building and scaling backend systems (preferably in Java, GoLang, Python or Node.js).

- Strong experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

- Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases : PostgreSQL, MongoDB (or equivalent).

- Experience working on cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS.

- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools (Prometheus/Grafana or similar).

- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

- Proven ability to mentor and lead teams in an agile, fast-paced environment.

- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :


- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Open-source contributions or strong GitHub portfolio is a plus.

- Experience with scalable, high-availability systems in a start-up or consumer-tech setting.
