About the Role :

We are looking for a mid-level ServiceNow Developer (IC3) who is highly experienced in Software Asset Management (SAM) and skilled at implementing/configuring components required to derive compliance and optimization for numerous Publishers / Products (SaaS and OnPrem Software(s). This is a hands-on development role requiring strong ServiceNow platform expertise, coding skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability. Candidate will design, configure, and maintain SAM solutions that optimize license compliance, governance, and SaaS visibility. The candidate will also be required to analyse new features, skip log analysis, etc.. that are released for SAM during family upgrades.

Key Responsibilities :

- ServiceNow Development :

o Expertise & awareness of all and key basic platform features

o Configure, extend, and customize ServiceNow SAM applications.

o Implement automation using Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and scripting.

o Build and maintain integrations with third-party SaaS platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Adobe, AWS).

o Ensure scalable, maintainable code with proper documentation and best practices.

o Ability to write Unit Test Cases using ATF

- SaaS Integrations :

o Deliver end-to-end integrations (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment).

o Develop integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and MID Server.

o Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize integration performance.

- Software Asset Management (SAM) :

o Support license tracking, compliance, and optimization initiatives.

o Configure discovery, normalization, reconciliation, and license models in ServiceNow.

o Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to ensure complete asset visibility.

- Collaboration & Support :

o Partner with Vendors & stakeholders to review & clarify requirements

o Partner with senior developers, architects, and business analysts to translate requirements into solutions.

o Participate in code reviews, peer learning, and platform upgrades.

o Provide documentation and technical knowledge transfer.

Required Qualifications :

- 3 to 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.

- 2+ years working with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM).

- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, Jelly, HTML, CSS.

- Experience with ServiceNow data structures (tables, CMDB, relationships).

- Hands-on experience with APIs, web services, and integration frameworks (REST/SOAP, JSON, XML, IntegrationHub, MID Server).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery and version control (Git, DevOps pipelines).

- Strong understanding of software licensing models, compliance, and SaaS spend optimization.

- Ability to work independently on complex tasks and deliver quality solutions.

- Ability to make smart & informed assumptions

- Ability to articulate key design features to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications :

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist SAM.

- Knowledge of ITAM, ITSM, and CMDB best practices.

- Familiarity with cloud/SaaS licensing models (Azure, AWS, GCP).
