Job Title : ServiceNow Technical Lead

Shift : Flexible

Location : Bangalore

Job Objective :

As a ServiceNow Technical Lead, you will design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions to ensure a secure, compliant, and high-performing platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into scalable, automated technical solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in the ServiceNow platform, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Development :


- Architect, design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow applications, modules, and platform components.


- Lead end-to-end implementation of modules including ITSM, ITOM, IRM/GRC, HRSD, CSM, and custom scoped applications.

- Develop complex workflows, UI actions, client/server scripts, and business rules using Flow Designer and scripting (JavaScript, Glide API).

- Ensure platform stability via health scan monitoring, performance evaluations, and system maintenance.

- Conduct code reviews and enforce best development and testing practices.

Platform & Integration Management :


- Design and implement robust integrations using Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth2, MID Servers, and third-party systems (e.g., Jira, Azure, AWS, Microsoft).

- Maintain and improve ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery capabilities aligned with CSDM.

- Implement DevOps for ServiceNow : CI/CD pipelines, ATF (Automated Test Framework), and Git integration.

- Manage regular platform upgrades, patches, and release readiness testing.

Project Execution & Collaboration :


- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Developers, and Business Analysts in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Participate in workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and stakeholder presentations.

- Create and maintain technical documentation : data models, architecture diagrams, user guides, workflows.

Governance & Compliance :


- Ensure compliance with IT security, data privacy, and audit requirements.


- Manage platform governance standards : development, documentation, security, and system health.

- Provide on-call production support and incident resolution within SLA.

Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement :


- Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to coding and documentation standards.


- Foster strong communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

- Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation in platform capabilities.

Required Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.


- 8+ years of progressive experience in ServiceNow development and platform architecture.


Strong hands-on experience with :


- ITSM, ITOM, IRM/GRC modules (HRSD, CSM, and custom apps are a plus)

- ServiceNow CMDB and CSDM

- JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and AngularJS

- Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth2, MID Servers

Familiarity with :

- AI Search, Virtual Agent, Performance Analytics, Predictive Intelligence

- App Engine Studio, UI Builder, and Workspaces

Solid understanding of :

- Agile/Scrum methodology


- Data modeling, process automation, and platform scalability

- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with executives and stakeholders.

Certifications :


- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) - Required


- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) - Required
