ServiceNow Developer - ITSM/ITOM Modules

Job Description

Job Summary :


We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow professional with 5+ years of experience to design, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions that streamline ITSM, ITOM, and enterprise workflows. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in ServiceNow customization, integrations, and module implementation, with a strong understanding of ITIL processes.


Key Responsibilities :


- Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or GRC as applicable).

- Implement custom business rules, client scripts, UI policies, ACLs, and Flow Designer workflows.

- Customize ServiceNow Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and CMDB modules.

- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub.

- Develop custom applications and modules using ServiceNow Studio and App Engine.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ServiceNow solutions.

- Maintain and optimize ServiceNow CMDB ensuring data accuracy and compliance.

- Support upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements with minimal disruption.

- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance analytics for stakeholders.

- Ensure adherence to ITIL and organizational best practices in ServiceNow implementations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner while ensuring system stability.


Required Skills & Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including configuration, customization, and integration.

- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge).

- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.

- Experience with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Workflow Editor, and UI Builder.

- Familiarity with CMDB design and Service Mapping.

- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.

- Understanding of ITIL processes and how they map to ServiceNow.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.


Preferred Skills :

- ServiceNow Certifications such as :

- Certified System Administrator (CSA)

- Certified Application Developer (CAD)

- ITSM/ITOM Implementation Specialist

- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM modules (Discovery, Event Management, Orchestration).

- Knowledge of Service Portal, Virtual Agent, and Performance Analytics.

- Exposure to Agile/DevOps methodologies with CI/CD in ServiceNow.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow HRSD, CSM, or SecOps modules.
