SDET Engineer Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) to join our growing engineering team.

The ideal candidate is passionate about quality, automation, and continuous improvement, and has a strong background in software testing and development.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to ensure the highest level of quality across our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.

- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and build effective test strategies.

- Own and improve test coverage, reliability, and performance of test suites.

- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and delivery.

- Analyze test results, debug issues, and work with developers to resolve defects.

- Contribute to and enforce best practices for testing, code quality, and development processes.

- Mentor junior QA or SDET team members (if applicable).

- Be a member of a real team, helping each other, ensuring know-how transfer and redundancy, accepting responsibility for the performance of the whole (as everybody should).

- Particularly, be a member of a Scrum team, using Scrum it to express the Agile Manifesto and mentality: as experienced developer, be a critical thinker and participate in the discussions (grooming, planning, retrospective, review).

- Be more than just another member: a mentor for new employees, a volunteer in task forces to analyze complex problems, sometimes a pioneer for new technologies and always a watcher of agility, quality and productivity.

- Provide the required input in retrospectives and appraisal meetings about the performance of both yourself as well as the team.

- Estimate simple and complex tasks, challenging assumptions, using your experience.

- Understand the CI and deployment pipelines we use, to better organize the tests of the development teams and your owns.

- Keep yourself up-to-date on new standards on technologies.

- Identify and execute self-learning opportunities and participate in team/department/company level initiatives.

Your Profile :

- You have professional experience in Quality Assurance including test automation tasks.

In addition, you have :

1. Expertise in core Java/JavaScript/TypeScript.

2. Expertise in a test framework like testNG/Cucumber.

3. Hands-on experience with automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).

4. Experience testing RESTful APIs and using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

5. Experience with version control systems (Git).

6. Experience in CI tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Action, BitBucket).

7. Experience in build tools (Maven, Gradle or any other tools).

8. Basic experience in SQL/No-SQL(MongoDB).

9. Knowledge of modern methodologies like BDD, Test-Driven Development and Data Driven Testing.

10. Knowledge of Cloud based systems.

11. Expertise of setting CI/CD for automation test script using docker.

12. Strong debugging skills.

And soft skills :

1. Good analytical and conceptual skills.

2. Command over the English language, both verbal and in writing.

Extra Credits :

- Proficient in the Payment Domain, including EBICS, SWIFT, and SEPA protocols.

- Familiar with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI agents, with experience integrating AI into test automation frameworks for example, enabling self-healing test scripts.

- Expertise in Java 8.

- Experience in REST Assured.

- Experience with Kibana.

- Experience with Kubernetes.

- Experience with ArgoCD, Helm, Grafana.

- Experience with Puppet, Chef or similar tools.

- Experience in Postman.

- Experience in Non-Functional testing (performance/Security).
