Role Overview :

As a Senior VMware Engineer, you will serve as the technical backbone for our global IT infrastructure, ensuring the high availability, scalability, and performance of our virtualized environments. You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, cloud architects, and global stakeholders to design, deploy, and optimize complex VMware ecosystems that support mission-critical business applications.

By maintaining a robust and secure infrastructure, you directly influence the operational efficiency of our international business units, ensuring seamless service delivery for our end-users and driving the companys digital transformation initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and manage enterprise-grade VMware vSphere and ESXi environments to ensure maximum uptime and optimal resource utilization for global business operations.

- Automate routine administrative tasks and infrastructure provisioning using PowerShell and vRealize Automation to reduce manual overhead and improve deployment consistency.

- Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for virtualization, storage, and network-related issues to minimize service disruptions and maintain high performance for internal stakeholders.

- Oversee the lifecycle management of VMware Horizon VDI environments, providing a secure and responsive remote desktop experience for a distributed international workforce.

- Collaborate with storage and network engineering teams to integrate virtualization layers with underlying hardware, ensuring seamless data flow and storage performance.

- Implement security best practices and compliance standards across Windows Server and Linux platforms to protect corporate data and maintain system integrity.

- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the global infrastructure team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and maintaining large-scale VMware vSphere and ESXi environments, with a deep understanding of virtualization performance tuning and capacity planning.

- Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex IT infrastructure, including deep integration knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, network administration, and multi-OS environments (Windows Server and Linux).

- Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell to streamline system administration and infrastructure-as-code workflows.

- Advanced experience in deploying and supporting VMware Horizon for virtual desktop infrastructure and utilizing vRealize Automation to orchestrate cloud-ready service delivery.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and global team members.

- A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international environment, demonstrating the adaptability required to manage remote infrastructure projects across different time zones.

- A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complemented by relevant industry certifications such as VCP or VCAP.
