Role Overview :

As a Senior VMware Consultant, you will serve as a high-level technical authority responsible for the design, deployment, and optimization of complex virtualized environments. You will work directly with enterprise clients to architect robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical business applications. This role requires a strategic mindset to navigate intricate network topologies and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting high-impact performance issues. By leading technical engagements and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, you will ensure that client environments remain secure, efficient, and aligned with modern industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy enterprise-grade VMware solutions, including complex NSX-T environments, to meet specific client performance and security requirements.

- Lead the migration and modernization of legacy virtual infrastructure to software-defined data center (SDDC) models to improve operational agility.

- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting and root cause analysis on critical infrastructure failures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and client IT leadership to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps.

- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance on best practices for virtualization, automation, and network virtualization.

- Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning to maximize hardware utilization and reduce operational overhead for large-scale deployments.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing VMware vSphere and NSX-T environments within large, distributed enterprise networks.

- Proven ability to lead technical discussions with C-suite stakeholders and project managers to drive consensus on infrastructure architecture.

- Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose and resolve complex interoperability issues between virtualization layers and physical hardware.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to document technical designs and present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

- High degree of adaptability to work effectively in a distributed, remote-first environment while maintaining consistent project delivery standards.

- A minimum of 10 to 25 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on virtualization and software-defined networking.

- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, supplemented by relevant industry certifications such as VCP-NV or VCAP.
