Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior UX Designer to lead the design and user experience strategy for complex, data-driven web applications. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands-on design execution, and cross-functional collaboration. You will play a critical role in shaping intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user experiences while working closely with product, engineering, and data teams.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will own end-to-end UX processes, from discovery and research to high-fidelity design and implementation support. You will also contribute to building scalable design systems and champion user-centered design best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

UX Strategy & Design Leadership :

- Lead the end-to-end UX design process for web applications, from concept and discovery to final implementation.

- Define UX vision and design strategy aligned with business goals, user needs, and technical constraints.

- Act as a design advocate, ensuring user-centered thinking is embedded across product development cycles.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement :

- Collaborate closely with product managers to understand business requirements, define user problems, and translate them into clear UX solutions.

- Partner with frontend engineers, especially React JS teams, to ensure seamless implementation of designs and adherence to UX standards.

- Work with data teams to understand data sources, APIs, and analytical requirements for dashboards and reporting interfaces.

- Present design concepts, user flows, and rationale to stakeholders and leadership with clarity and confidence.

User Research & Validation :

- Plan and conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and heuristic evaluations.

- Analyze qualitative and quantitative insights to identify usability issues and opportunities for improvement.

- Iterate designs based on user feedback, analytics, and business priorities.

UX/UI Design Execution :

- Create user personas, journey maps, information architecture, and interaction models.

- Design low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design intent.

- Design intuitive user journeys for applications involving complex workflows, API integrations, and real-time data.

- Ensure designs are visually engaging, consistent, and aligned with brand guidelines.

Data Visualization & Dashboards :

- Design and optimize dashboards and reporting interfaces using Looker Studio (or similar BI tools).

- Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable, and user-friendly visualizations.

- Ensure dashboards support decision-making through clarity, hierarchy, and usability best practices.

Design Systems & Consistency :

- Create, maintain, and evolve design systems, UI component libraries, and style guides.

- Ensure consistency across products and platforms through reusable components and documented guidelines.

- Work closely with developers to support component-based UI development and scalability.

Accessibility & Best Practices :

- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.

- Stay up to date with UX trends, tools, and best practices, and proactively bring new ideas to the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 8+ years of professional experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably on web-based or enterprise applications.

- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX thinking, UI design, and data-rich dashboards.

- Hands-on experience designing and collaborating with React JS development teams.

- Proven experience designing interfaces that consume and visualize data from APIs.

- Proficiency in Looker Studio or similar data visualization / BI tools.

- Expertise in wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing methodologies.

- Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or equivalent.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience designing enterprise-grade or data-intensive applications.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON data structures.

- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.

- Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems.

- Exposure to component-based UI development and close collaboration with frontend teams.
