Cortex Consultants is hiring a Senior Tech Lead to join a fast-paced, product-driven engineering environment.

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate technology leader who can design, architect, and deliver scalable microservices-based applications using modern Java technologies.

Technical Expertise (Detailed) :

Core Back-End Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Java / J2EE with deep understanding of multi-threading, collections, OOPs, and design patterns.

- Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and building microservices architectures.

- Ability to design secure, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions.

Cloud & Containerization :

- Solid experience with containerization technologies and building cloud-native applications.

- Practical working knowledge of container tools such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes.

- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is an added advantage.

Messaging & Event-Driven Systems :

- Experience working with Kafka or similar distributed messaging/event streaming platforms.

- Ability to design and implement event-driven microservices and real-time processing solutions.

Front-End Exposure :

- Working-level knowledge of ReactJS for understanding and collaborating on front-end development.

- Ability to review UI components, discuss feasibility, and coordinate with front-end teams.

Methodologies & Development Practices :

- Strong understanding of the Agile SDLC, Scrum ceremonies, and sprint-based delivery.

- Hands-on experience working in iterative, collaboration-driven product engineering environments.

- Familiarity with code reviews, architectural discussions, estimations, and engineering best practices.

Leadership & Management Responsibilities :

Team Leadership & Mentoring :

- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering technical excellence and ownership.

- Guide engineers on best coding practices, architecture decisions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Project Execution :

- Plan, estimate, and manage project timelines and deliverables.

- Oversee sprint execution, proactively handle risks, and remove blockers to ensure smooth delivery.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and UI/UX.

Communication & Collaboration :

- Strong ability to articulate technical concepts to stakeholders at all levels.

- Promote a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications :

- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.

- BE/B.Tech degree is mandatory.

- Proven experience working in product-based companies is essential
