About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Lead / Senior Engineer with deep expertise in carrier-grade routing platforms and embedded networking systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in MPLS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS / SRv6), EVPN, and control-plane development using C in Linux-based network operating systems.

This role involves designing, developing, and owning critical routing infrastructure modules, working closely with global teams, and solving complex real-world network challenges for Tier-1 customers.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable routing features in Linux-based network OS

- Own and enhance MPLS infrastructure modules (Label Manager, SR-PCC, SR Static, NAT, ARP, Bridge)

- Implement and optimize EVPN (VPLS, Symmetric IRB, Proxy ARP) and Segment Routing features

- Work on PCEP (PCE-initiated LSP, PCC), Binding SID, LSP Protection

- Debug and resolve critical production issues and customer escalations

- Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams (onshore/offshore)

- Drive architecture discussions, design reviews, and feasibility studies

- Mentor junior engineers and guide teams on networking concepts and design

- Ensure high-quality delivery with zero critical issue leakage

Required Skills :

Programming :

- Strong hands-on experience in C programming

Networking Expertise :

- MPLS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS / SRv6)

- EVPN (VPLS, IRB, Proxy ARP)

- BGP, ARP, L3 Forwarding

- RSVP, PCEP, Traffic Engineering

Systems & Platform :

- Linux-based networking systems

- Data plane exposure (DPDK is a plus)

- QoS / DiffServ understanding

Good to Have :

- Experience with carrier-grade routers / telecom products

- Exposure to DPDK-based packet processing

- Knowledge of YANG models / CLI development

- Experience with high availability (HA), redundancy, failover systems
