Serving as a technical thought leader and SME for our ecosystem of partners, customers, and service providers in the realm of Modern Apps & Platform Engineering, the Senior Technical Consultant works as part of the consulting team to lead the development, design, implementation, and engagement leadership of client solutions. Senior Technical Consultants mentor and provide direction to engineers on a project-by-project basis and within the broader organization as it relates to internal initiatives and indirect project support.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design and implement complex, mission-critical, enterprise-grade technical solutions for clients.

- Drive modernization and digital transformation initiatives for enterprise customers on Microsoft Azure.

- Deep understanding of Azure architecture and services, including compute, storage, and networking (Virtual Machines, Managed Disks, Virtual Network, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway).

- Experience with Azure Migrate and related tools for assessment, planning, and migration (including tools like ModelizeIT, VMware vRealize Network Insight/Aria Operations).

- Strong knowledge of Azure security best practices (Azure AD/Entra ID, RBAC, NSGs, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud) and compliance frameworks.

- Understanding of Azure operational best practices including monitoring, logging, and automation (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).

- Ability to analyze and optimize Azure costs, including rightsizing resources and implementing cost governance strategies.

- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), Service Mesh (Istio), Ingress Controllers, container networking (CNI), and GitOps (FluxCD/ArgoCD), CRDs, and deployment strategies like Blue-Green.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, Spacelift.

- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Azure ARM templates, Bicep, Pulumi, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef.

- Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

- Knowledge of VMware technologies (vSphere, vSAN, NSX) and VMware HCX for migration to Azure.

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

- Experience working in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering teams.

- 8+ years of IT experience with 4+ years in Azure Cloud, Migration, Automation, Application Modernization, and Digital Transformation.

- Strong consulting and business acumen to lead customer conversations and drive new initiatives.

- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD/CKS), Terraform Associate, Argo/Istio certifications.

- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
