About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Survey Programmer with extensive experience in designing, developing, and deploying web-based survey solutions for global research initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of survey logic, data structuring, and technical implementation using platforms such as Decipher (FocusVision / Forsta).

This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, technical expertise, and precision in execution to ensure seamless project delivery and superior data quality.

Key Responsibilities :

Survey Design & Development :

- Translate client-provided questionnaires and research objectives into high-quality, interactive web-based surveys using Decipher.

- Implement advanced logic, branching, validation, and dynamic elements to ensure robust survey functionality.

Data Structuring & Optimization :

- Collaborate with Data Processing (DP) and Analytics teams to design surveys optimized for efficient data extraction, tabulation, and reporting.

- Ensure metadata and data files are structured for seamless downstream processing and client delivery.

Programming & Quality Assurance :

- Write, debug, and test survey code to ensure accurate logic flow, error-free execution, and exceptional user experience across devices and browsers.

- Conduct end-to-end quality checkscovering functional testing, usability, data integrity, and visual rendering.

Innovation & Technical Excellence :

- Design and integrate custom survey components such as drag-and-drop exercises, sliders, video or image evaluations, shelf tests, and complex grid layouts.

- Develop reusable templates, scripts, and automation utilities to streamline programming efficiency.

Project Management & Coordination :

- Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining timelines, accuracy, and quality standards.

- Proactively communicate progress, potential risks, and alternate plans to internal teams and project stakeholders.

- Provide ongoing support post-deployment for debugging, data validation, and client queries.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing :

- Work closely with offshore programming teams to ensure adherence to global best practices and project specifications.

- Mentor junior programmers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Survey Programming within a market research or analytics environment.

- Hands-on expertise in Decipher (FocusVision / Forsta); knowledge of other survey platforms (e.g, Confirmit, Qualtrics, Dimensions) is an advantage.

- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML/JSON data structures.

- Proven ability to create advanced logic patterns, piping, quotas, randomized designs, and multi-language surveys.

- Working knowledge of data integration and file formats (SPSS, Excel, CSV, ASCII).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

- Willingness to work in North American time zones (Night Shifts) and rotational schedules as required.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field.

- Experience in survey automation, dashboard integration, or API-based survey workflows.

- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g, Power BI, Tableau, or custom dashboards)
