The Senior Staff Engineer is a principal-level technical leader responsible for driving the architectural direction, solving the most complex engineering challenges, and elevating technical excellence across multiple teams or domains.

This role blends deep technical expertise with cross-organizational influence, mentoring, and long-term strategic thinking.

Responsibilities :

- Define and evolve the architectural vision for critical systems across the organization.

- Drive high-impact technical initiatives that span multiple teams or product areas.

- Make strategic decisions concerning scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

- Conduct technical design reviews and guide teams toward best practices.

- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and frameworks aligned with business goals.

- Lead complex, large-scale engineering projects from conception to production.

- Debug and resolve the most challenging system-level issues.

- Set engineering quality standards for testing, observability, reliability, and documentation.

- Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional leaders to ensure technology solutions meet business needs.

- Mentor Staff, Senior, and mid-level engineers, guiding their technical growth.

- Influence engineering roadmaps and organizational processes.

- Align teams around shared technical direction and engineering principles.

- Drive adoption of platform-level improvements that increase organizational efficiency.

Qualifications :

Required :

- 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including large-scale systems design.

- Proven experience influencing architecture across multiple teams or domains.

- Deep expertise in at least one core area (e.g., distributed systems, backend services, cloud infrastructure, ML systems, frontend architecture, mobile platforms).

- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python, TypeScript, C++, etc.

- Demonstrated leadership in large, complex technical projects.

- Excellent communication and ability to translate between technical and business contexts
