We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and cloud database migration. The ideal candidate will have strong experience administering enterprise SQL Server environments, optimizing database performance, and leading migrations from on-premises or Azure-based environments to GCP.

The role requires close collaboration with application, cloud, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available database platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022) databases in enterprise environments.

- Plan and execute database migration projects from on-premises or Azure environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Design and implement high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and replication strategies.

- Optimize SQL Server performance through query tuning, indexing, execution plan analysis, and database refactoring.

- Develop and maintain T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.

- Configure and manage Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, networking, and monitoring services on GCP.

- Manage Azure SQL Virtual Machines and support hybrid cloud database environments.

- Automate database administration tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting.

- Collaborate with development teams to improve database design, SQL performance, and deployment processes.

- Implement security best practices, monitoring, auditing, and access controls.

- Support production environments, troubleshoot critical database issues, and perform root cause analysis.

- Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- 6- 10 years of overall experience in SQL Server Database Administration.

- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cloud database migration projects.

- Minimum 23 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
