Key Responsibilities :
- Drive engineering health initiatives including resolving security vulnerabilities, addressing technical debt, and improving system observability.
- Diagnose and fix bugs and production issues with urgency and precision, minimising customer impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, scope, and ship high-quality software.
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and contribute to raising engineering standards across the team.
- Support on-call rotations and contribute to reducing operational toil through automation and process improvements.
What We're Looking For :
- Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails.
- Experience working on SaaS/cloud-native platforms at scale.
- Solid understanding of security best practices - CVE remediation, dependency management.
- Ability to context-switch effectively between feature development and maintenance work.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a bias for action.
- Experience with agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Excellent communication skills - able to articulate technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
