What Youll Do :

As a Java SDE-3, you will be a senior individual contributor driving the architecture, design, and implementation of highly scalable, distributed backend systems.

Youll work closely with engineering leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical features and platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop scalable, distributed systems capable of handling millions of users

- Design and implement robust microservices using Java (8+) and Spring Boot

- Leverage message brokers like Kafka to build event-driven systems

- Ensure high availability, resilience, and low-latency performance of backend services

- Own complex modules end-to-end from high-level design to production rollout

- Lead and mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and best practices

- Optimize application performance through JVM tuning, caching (Redis), and SQL tuning

- Contribute to evolving engineering practices, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines

- Drive observability and reliability through logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting

What Were Looking For :

Core Technical Skills :

- 6+ years of backend development experience with Java (8 or above)

- Strong in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate/Spring Data

- Solid experience in designing and building distributed systems

- Expertise in event-driven architectures using Kafka or other brokers

- Deep understanding of REST APIs, Microservices, and service orchestration

- Strong RDBMS skills (MySQL/PostgreSQL) with performance tuning experience

- Proficient with Redis or similar caching mechanisms

- Knowledge of JVM internals, memory management, GC, and profiling

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and modern SDLC practices

- Experience with containerized deployments using Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)

Bonus :

- Background in real-money gaming, ad tech, or consumer-scale platforms

- Exposure to NoSQL databases, distributed locks, and eventual consistency patterns

- Experience designing systems with high throughput (10M+ requests/day)

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

- A strong product mindset with a focus on scale, reliability, and performance

- Leadership in technical problem-solving, architecture, and mentoring peers

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
