About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and execution-focused Senior Backend Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Java and a proven track record of building and scaling distributed systems.

The role involves designing robust backend services, optimizing performance across storage and caching layers, and building reliable integrations using modern messaging and CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend systems at scale.

- Write high-performance, production-grade code in Java.

- Architect and optimize storage systems, scalable data models, and query performance.

- Implement caching strategies to reduce latency and improve system throughput.

- Build and manage backend services using AWS cloud infrastructure.

- Develop resilient messaging pipelines using Kafka or equivalent technologies.

- Define and streamline CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.

- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive fixes.

- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and Engineering teams.

- Drive engineering best practices, testing, code reviews, and maintainability.

Required Skills:

- 5+ years of backend engineering experience.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and modern Java frameworks.

- Strong experience with Spring Boot / Microservices.

- Proven experience building scalable distributed systems.

- Hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, or RDS.

- Strong understanding of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.

- Experience with Redis, Memcached, or similar caching solutions.

- Strong understanding of database design and query performance optimization.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

- Strong problem-solving and system-design capabilities.

- Experience working with production-grade, high-scale backend systems.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Kubernetes / cloud-native infrastructure.

- Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

- Exposure to HLD/LLD and architecture discussions.

- Experience working on high-traffic or high-scale consumer applications.

- Strong ownership and ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.
