About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Founding Engineer to join a very early-stage, fast-growing startup in Bangalore. As a founding engineer, you will play a critical role in building scalable systems from scratch, designing microservices, integrating Shopify apps, and creating infrastructure that can grow with our e-commerce platform. This is an opportunity to take end-to-end ownership, influence core architecture decisions, and make a significant impact in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop scalable microservices for complex e-commerce workflows.

- Integrate with Shopify app/backend APIs and manage webhook infrastructure.

- Build and maintain data models, caching strategies, and deployment pipelines.

- Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for web and mobile applications.

- Manage database performance, event queues, and observability tools.

- Work on containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Contribute to infrastructure management, ensuring scalability and reliability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for high-quality deliverables in a fast-paced, ownership-driven startup environment.

Key Skills & Experience :

- B.Tech from Tier 1 Engineering Colleges (IITs, NITs, or top State Engineering Colleges).

- 1 to 6 years of hands-on experience in software engineering and backend systems.

- Strong coding and problem-solving skills; Java or Python experience is a plus.

- Deep understanding of microservices architecture, API design, and cloud deployments.

- Experience with data modeling, caching (Redis/Memcached), event queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) preferred.
