Role Overview :

We are looking for a strong SDE III / Senior Software Engineer to join the core engineering team and build scalable products and platforms for the consumer fintech space. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an engineer who can independently own complex technical problems and contribute across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own software development across the complete product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production monitoring.

- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services and applications.

- Translate product and business requirements into robust technical solutions.

- Develop high-quality code following established engineering and design principles.

- Design and build APIs, services, and integrations using Java and Spring Framework.

- Apply appropriate data structures, algorithms, and design patterns to solve complex engineering problems.

- Evaluate technical trade-offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

- Participate in architecture and design discussions and contribute to improving engineering practices.

- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests and proactively identify potential production issues.

- Debug complex technical problems, perform root-cause analysis, and drive issues through to resolution.

- Monitor applications in production and contribute to system reliability, performance, and observability.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to peers.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, QA, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.

- Take end-to-end ownership of features and technical initiatives with minimal supervision.

Required Skills :

- 6 - 8 years of strong hands-on experience as a Software Engineer / Backend Engineer.

- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with the Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

- Experience designing and developing scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.

- Good understanding of database concepts, SQL, and data modelling.

- Strong understanding of software design trade-offs involving scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and production support.

- Familiarity with distributed systems and high-scale applications is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working with high-growth internet companies, consumer technology, fintech, or large-scale digital products.

- Exposure to microservices, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

- Experience building systems handling high transaction volumes or large user bases.

- Strong focus on code quality, testing, reliability, and proactively identifying defects before they reach production.
