Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be a cornerstone of our backend engineering team, responsible for designing and implementing high-performance services that drive our core search engine. You will collaborate closely with product managers and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical architectures.

Your work will directly impact the latency, reliability, and accuracy of our platform, ensuring that millions of users receive seamless, real-time data retrieval experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and develop high-throughput microservices using Java and Spring Boot to ensure the platform remains responsive under heavy load.

- Design resilient event-driven systems using Kafka to facilitate seamless data streaming and inter-service communication.

- Optimize cloud-native infrastructure on AWS to improve system performance, reduce operational costs, and ensure high availability.

- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers to maintain high standards of code quality and architectural integrity across the team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to minimize downtime and maintain a superior user experience for our global client base.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining distributed systems using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.

- Proven ability to design and manage event-driven pipelines using Kafka for real-time data processing.

- Hands-on experience deploying and managing scalable applications on AWS, including familiarity with containerization and cloud-native services.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

- A minimum of 5 - 8 years of professional experience in backend software development, preferably in a fast-paced product-driven environment.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, hybrid work environment based out of our office.
