Position Summary :

We are seeking a high-caliber Senior SAM Consultant (L3) who is a recognized IT governance and licensing expert. In this role, you will oversee complex software license compliance, mitigate major financial exposure, lead strategic audits, and architect multi-million dollar cost optimizations for tier-1 global clients.

Mandatory Licensing Expertise :

- SAP Licensing Architecture : Deep, non-negotiable expertise in managing complex SAP licensing models. Must understand named users, use types, engines, contract structures, digital/indirect access, and metric transformations.

- Tier-1 Publishers : Complete mastery over baseline calculations and compliance rules for Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, VMware, and Red Hat.

- Tooling Proficiency : Advanced hands-on experience building compliance dashboards and automated compliance workflows using enterprise tools like Snow License Manager or Flexera One.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Core Licensing Compliance & Baseline Engineering :

- Perform end-to-end software license reconciliations and generate definitive Effective License Position (ELP) reports.

- Review complex enterprise contracts, master services agreements (MSAs), and deployment data to verify binding compliance terms.

- Analyse large-scale user access logs and usage metrics to pinpoint optimization opportunities and right-size user access.

2. Strategic Audit Defense & Risk Mitigation :

- Act as the primary technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to defend clients during rigorous vendor audits.

- Architect bulletproof "true-up" strategies, identify compliance blind spots, and execute corrective measures to avert severe financial penalties.

- Design licensing frameworks for enterprise transitions from legacy on-premise models to complex cloud/SaaS paradigms (AWS, Azure, SaaS).

3. Cost Optimization & Leadership :

- Identify structural cost-saving opportunities through aggressive license harvesting, product downgrades, and pooled asset reallocations.

- Provide Tier-3 functional and technical escalation support for highly ambiguous licensing disputes.

- Mentor and review deliverables for junior and L2 consultants, elevating the teams core technical capabilities.

Required Candidate Profile & Certifications :

- Deep analytical understanding of complex modern server-core, cloud, and subscription-based enterprise software models.

- Highly refined executive-level presentation skills with experience presenting compliance postures to C-suite stakeholders.

- Preferred Credentials : Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) or ITIL 4 Foundation Qualification.
